Blyth Academy offers Accredited International Summer and March Break Programs and Community-Service Projects. Join them in March, July or August.

This year’s program will involve about 1000 students and over 200 educators, managers, activity coordinators and tutors. They will travel on 27 programs visiting 28 countries on 6 continents and chose from more than 200 courses. All payments are fully refundable until January 1st if you cancel for any reason.

On November 12th, 2009, Maclean’s OnCampus Virtual Fair will be taking place. Canadian colleges and universities will be represented in their virtual convention hall, each with its own booth. Information on admissions, scholarships and financial aid will be available – virtually, from home or school, using a computer. Students will be able to talk directly with school representatives and have their questions answered , in real time.

The fair is live on November 12, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (ET). Registration is free. Students, parents, teachers and administrators can register at www.macleans.ca/oncampusfair . Students will also have the opportunity to win $5,000 just for registering.

If you miss the event on November 12, it will still be available on-demand, 24 hours a day, until mid-February 2010.

The deadline for the 2009 Garfield Weston Awards is approaching. These awards are open to students planning to enroll in college programs (or in a technical DEC at a CEGEP) in Fall 2009. University programs and university-transfer programs are not eligible.

Please note that the deadline for entrance applications to be received is 27 March 2009.

We are looking for a students who are:

    * passionate about their field of study, curious, and willing to try new things;

    * caring about their family, neighbourhood and community; and

    * truly interested in becoming involved and making a difference in society

Up to 25 Entrance Garfield Weston Awards will be granted this year, each of which comprises a tuition waiver from a consortium college renewable for one or two additional years; an $8,000 annual stipend renewable for one or two additional years; a mentorship program; and access to summer program funding.
